Patrick . Boyle, Ph.D.

Patrick Boyle, PhD, is an expert in international affairs whose teaching and research interests include African Politics, comparative politics and the politics of development. Much of his recent writing and field projects revolve around the politics of social services within central Africa.

Dr. Boyle has contributed to several publications such as World Politics, Journal of Modern African Studies, African Studies Review, Africa Today and in edited volumes. He is also author of Class Formation and Civil Society: The Politics of Education in Africa (1999).

Dr. Boyle has led Loyola's international programs since 2003 and now serves as Associate Provost for International Initiatives.
