Suzanne K. Kaufman, Ph.D.

Suzanne Kaufman received her PhD from Rutgers University and specializes in Modern European History. Her research interests include Modern European Social and Cultural History, Modern France, History of Religion and Popular Culture, and Gender/Women's History, and she is currently researching Ethnicity and Masculinity in the French Foreign Legion.

Dr. Kaufman has received special recognition for Excellence in Graduate Teaching and has been published numerous times, including her own book Consuming Visions: Mass Culture and the Lourdes Shrine (Cornell University Press, 2005).
