George K. Thiruvathukal, Ph.D.

Dr. Thiruvathukal holds a Ph.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois and is an associate professor at Loyola University Chicago in the Computer Science Department. In addition to his computer science expertise, he can speak about artificial intelligence and robotics in the workplace. Dr. Thiruvathukal's research is funded by grants from the National Science Foundation and DARPA and focuses on object-oriented approaches to parallel programming and involved the development of object models, languages, libraries, and tools for parallel programming, mostly based on C and C++ on Unix platforms.

Dr. Thiruvathukal has co-authored two books with Prentice Hall PTR (part of the Pearson conglomerate) on high-performance Java computing and web programming in Python.
