Dr. John Kelly teaches general biology, microbiology and microbial ecology in the Department of Biology. His primary research interest is the field of microbial ecology and the analysis of complex microbial communities.

Dr. Kelly and students are conducting two research projects of interest to CUERP. Both projects examine the ways in which microbial communities respond and adapt to global change processes. Dr. John Kellys students conduct research on responses to global climate changes on wetland microbial organisms.
