Dr. Garbarski's research involves the social causes and consequences of health outcomes and health disparities. Her work focuses on the complex and dynamic relationship between social factors and health and how these relationships unfold over time across the life course. Her research also encompasses more micro-level processes of how data are generated¿such as meanings and interpretations of survey questions and interviewer-respondent interactions¿with implications for the relationships among social factors and health that are observed in the aggregate.
