Description Founded in Louvain in 1614, the College has been in ccntinuous existence ever since. Heythrop became a constituent college of the University of London in 1970. It specialises in the teaching and research of philosophy and theology. Its original function of educating future priests and ministers of the Catholic Church continues within a larger institution which puts its resources at the service of the Church and wider society
