    Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

As Provost Norberto Grzywacz previously communicated on April 24, the University is conducting the search for the new dean for the College of Arts and Sciences. I am pleased to inform you the search committee has been working diligently and we will be ready to introduce to all of you three finalists for this significant position on Friday, May 15 at 5 p.m.

At that time, all finalist candidate materials will be posted on the Academic Affairs website for you to review.

Even as we conduct this internal search in a virtual environment and at an accelerated pace, our commitment to transparency and community-wide input remain important. The process for this search was developed collaboratively by colleagues across Loyola University Chicago, in particular the CAS department chairs, the Office of the Provost, the Office of the President, and CAS Dean¿s Office.

Therefore, we are inviting you to register for three separate Zoom webinars this Monday, May 18, with each of the finalist candidates, during which they will make a formal presentation to our University community and will also answer specific questions you might have. Three individual, consecutive webinars will be held on Monday beginning 9 a.m. Each of these webinars will be recorded and made available for later viewing.

Advance registration is required. Please use this URL to register for the three separate candidate session/presentations.

    Candidate A ¿ 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
    Candidate B ¿ 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    Candidate C ¿ 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This is an opportunity to get to know these colleagues¿ qualifications and qualities in greater depth and to engage in dialogue about their vision for the college¿s future. We hope in this busy time you will be able to participate in the live meetings or review these recorded webinars shortly thereafter.

The search committee looks forward to your participation in this important search.

    Sincerely,
    Goutham
    Search Committee Chair
