On Thursday, June 4 at 12 p.m., the Institute of Pastoral Studies will lead a service of prayer and reflection for the Loyola University Chicago community. This honors George Floyd and the countless others, known and unknown, who have suffered and died because of police violence. We hear the cries in the streets across the nation calling for truth to be known and justice done. This pause, this moment of breath, serves as a moment of spiritual renewal and preparation for the work ahead, for the interior journeys we must each undertake, and the journey of our University community toward a new way of being and proceeding.

Thursday, June 4, noon to 1 p.m., via Zoom

For more information on the Prayer Service, contact Peter Jones, Interim Dean of Institute of Pastoral Studies, at pjones5@LUC.edu.
