As US Cellular's director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Loyola MSHR alumnus Alenda Durr recently oversaw the creation of a new structure around opportunities for remote and hybrid work. Based on the experience leading this effort that represents a 180 degree policy change from before the pandemic, Alenda will speak about using the office purposefully as a tool for collaboration in the future.

Associate Professor Peter Norlander will share what he has learned from building a large dataset to study the last decade of remote work. Looking at why particular firms adopted remote work-friendly policies, and why some jobs stay in the office despite technical capability, he will share what the past has to say about limitations to the future of remote work.
