The Health Law Society, Health Justice Project, and Environmental Law Society present a virtual Health Justice Coffee Talk: Environmental Justice and Health Equity. During this one hour event, Andrew Bashi, Staff Attorney at the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center, and Jenna Prochaska, Clinical Teaching Fellow of the Health Justice Project, will discuss the environmental factors that impact the health and well-being of marginalized communities. Focusing on the intersection of environmental factors and health law, the discussion will highlight zoning, pollutants, green spaces, and water treatment.
Attending this event will satisfy the Health Law Certificate racial justice and health equity event requirement. To receive the certificate, each student must write a one-page reflection of the content covered at the round-table discussion. This reflection must be submitted with the Health Law Certificate Application form.
