Every Friday, January-April, a group of Loyola students volunteer at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Soup Kitchen to prepare, serve, and share a meal. To travel to this service opportunity we will be using public transit please bring your UPass or be prepared to pay. We do not send volunteers on days that classes are not in session.

Meet us at 3:30 in the CSA (Damen Student Center 232) with your U-Pass and proper dress code per St. Thomas of Canterbury's request. Pants no shorter than mid-calf; no leggings or yoga pants and skirts. Shirts/tops must have sleeves and a modest neckline; no loose sleeves; also, your back should be covered, even when you bend over. Closed toe shoes only and a hat or a hair net will be given to you on site. You can expect to be back on campus around 7:15pm. We hope to see you there!

If you are under 18 you are still welcome to come to the Soup Kitchen with us! You will need to have a waiver completed by your parent/guardian before you will be able to come (SK Waiver Fall 22 link on our website). If you have any questions about this please contact us at serve@luc.edu**

Please contact the CSA staff if you are looking to have service hours verified for any reason. We can help you find appropriate service opportunities.
