    Sociology's annual Eleanor Fails Alumni Speaker Series welcomes alum, and 2022 MacArthur Fellow, Reuben Jonathan Miller. An expert on issues of crime, punishment, racism and poverty, he recently published the book *Halfway Home: Race, Punishment and the Afterlife of Mass Incarceration,* an ethnography based on 15 years of research and practice with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people and their loved ones. Reuben will be giving a lecture titled *Guilt.*
