A Journey on Quiet Waters is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about themselves and others through adventure. While taking an 11-day trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area students will be asked to reflect on their time at Loyola, learn about themselves, and to consider their commitment to their academic major or potential future careers. This wilderness expedition is not for students who have it all figured out, but those that do not feel fully invested in their vocational futures or those who are truly undecided. Additionally, no prior paddling or camping experience is necessary. However, a willingness to spend time mentally and physically preparing for the course is essential to success.

This is an experience for students seeking to:
        Discern their strengths
        Ask big questions
        Build community
        Explore their calling
        Share their story
