*CANCIONES DE GUITARRA: MUSIC FOR GUITAR AND VOICES*
Featuring classical guitar sensation, You Wang

The William Ferris Chorale, Chicagos internationally acclaimed professional
choral ensemble and Artist-in-Residence at Loyola University, completes its 43rd season with Canciones de Guitarra: Music for Guitar and Voices. Dynamic, young classical guitarist,
You Wang, joins the Chorale for the season's final concert. The centerpiece of this contemporary Spanish/Cuban romp is composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco's impassioned Romancero Gitano, set to the fiery and evocative poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca. You'll be dancing all the way home!

There will be one performance of this program April 11, 2015. See details below. It is expected that seats will fill quickly, so ordering early is strongly suggested.

    ABOUT THE WILLIAM FERRIS CHORALE
A Chicago musical landmark since 1971, the William Ferris Chorale is known for its warm yet full-bodied choral tone and articulate, unaffected expressive gestures (ClassicsToday.com) and its knack for unearthing interesting, seldom-heard music (Chicago Tribune). The Chorale has performed at the Aldeburgh Festival and the Spoleto Festival: USA and given more than 160 world, American, and Chicago premières of important new literature. Since 2010, the William Ferris Chorale has been honored to be Artist-in-Residence at Loyola University. Paul French is in his tenth season as Music Director.
