Listening to Killers reflects on Dr. Garbarino¿s work as an expert witness in homicide cases. It speaks of the tragedies and trauma we so often see in the lives of those facing capital charges, the significance of these traumas, particularly in childhood during the development of the spirit, mind, and body. In better understanding these risks and the long term impact they have, we are better posed to respond to at-risk youth, and to protect future victims from bearing the brunt of America¿s failure to protect and nurture children.
