The Student Community Board, a peer to peer accountability conduct board at Loyola University Chicago, is hosting a community gathering for a paint-by-numbers restorative justice themed mural. Restorative justice practices are centered on re-integrating of wayward individuals back into the community. Joining students and members of the greater Chicago community embodies our service in action mission, whilst beatifying the community. The Student Community Board and Student Government of Loyola University Chicago welcomes all Roger¿s Park community members to partake in the creation of this lasting reminder of unity with the Loyola student body. Painting will take place at the Albion & Lakewood viaduct between the hours of 9am-1pm on April 25, 2015. After the painting of the mural, there will be refreshments and a discussion about restorative justice from 1:30pm-3:00pm.
