  While the temperatures are dropping to record lows, the city¿s holiday spirit will be at an all-time high this December when Rogers Park hosts Chicago¿s first Polar Palooza event. From December 5-6, 2015, more than 10,000 local students and families will converge at the CTA¿s Loyola Red Line station plaza to take part in the inaugural winter celebration.

  Produced by Star Events, Chicago¿s award-winning event company which specializes in producing world-class community celebrations and festivals, Polar Palooza will feature some of the city¿s ¿coolest¿ bands and other fabulous entertainment. The event will also feature an all-seasons synthetic ice skating rink, a Christmas tree lot, holiday shopping at unique, local, socially conscious vendor booths, food and drink from some of the city¿s best restaurants, glitter crafts, holiday cookie decorating, costumed photos, face painting, stilt walkers, and costumed characters.
