Hop into an automobile and turn up some turn-of-the-century tunes! Tintypes is a delightful ride through the development of the United States. Lush with popular songs from 1890 to 1917, Gary Pearle and Mel Marvin¿s musical revue shines in this production directed by Dr. Sarah Gabel. Join five characters¿ Susannah, Anna Held, Emma Goldman, Charlie Chaplin, and Teddy Roosevelt¿ as they narrate the breakthroughs and struggles of America in the late nineteenth century. The show¿s small cast and charming music fill our intimate Underground black box space beautifully. Come listen to the immigrants, dreamers, leaders, and fighters that built our nation; the voices of the past still sing heartily today.
