    The Intersection of the Medical and Legal Professions Around Issues of Physical Child Abuse

    This semester¿s Coffee Talk series concludes on Wednesday, November 2nd with a joint presentation on child abuse, hospital child protection teams, and the interface of law and medicine around issues of child maltreatment. Co-presenters are:
    ¿        Dr. Sandeep Narang, MD/JD, is a recognized national and international expert in General Pediatrics and Child Abuse and Neglect, with a specific emphasis in Abusive Head Trauma and Medico-legal Aspects of Child Maltreatment. He is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Lurie Children Hospital of Chicago.
    ¿        Henry Plum, JD, is a Wisconsin attorney who has extensive experience in the area of child welfare, including issues of child abuse and neglect. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Plum lectures widely on the topic and is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Counsel for Children.

    Coffee Talk is held most Wednesdays from 4 to 4:50 p.m. in the ChildLaw Center- 11th floor of the Corboy Law Center. Coffee, tea and cookies are served. All students, faculty and staff are welcome.
