Together, we will dig deeper into education¿s relationship to a just society, and ask: ¿What investments, beyond education, are needed to create and sustain an equitable City?¿

This conversation will build on Health & Medicine¿s 2014 Education and Health Equity Forum which brought together hundreds of education and health professionals to examine the reciprocal relationship between the two fields. We will also examine public health¿s role in advancing equitable, high-quality public education.

    Invited speakers:
    - Keynote: David Stovall, Professor, African American Studies and Educational Policy Studies, University of Illinois at Chicago
    - Ralph Martire, Executive Director, Center for Tax and Budget Accountability
    - Linda Rae Murray, Chief Medical Officer (Retired), Cook County Department of Public Health

Attendees will leave this forum better able to:
    - Describe the links between education and health equity
    - Enumerate policy challenges and potential solutions to effectively use of resources to advance an health and education equity
    - Partner with advocates, activists, and organizers working to advance an equitable Chicago
