The Fund for the Public Interest is a national non-profit organization that runs grassroots advocacy campaigns for some of the top progressive groups in the country, like USPIRG, Environment America and the Human Rights Campaign. Over the last 30 years, we've helped over 40 organizations widen their base of support and win on the most critical environmental and social justice issues. Recently we have been working to stop the overuse of antibiotics on factory farms, ban fracking, stop global warming, and reclaim our democracy. Our summer citizen outreach work has built the people power needed to make an impact on these pressing issues. We are hiring students for summer jobs in citizen outreach offices in over fifty cities across the country this summer. The job includes team-building and staff management, fundraising, petitioning and other types of political organizing. This is a great opportunity for students to work in the non-profit world while gaining communication and leadership skills. This summer students can make a big impact on important issues while also making money. Our information sessions will give an overview of the organization, the campaigns, and the positions available and will be directly followed by individual interviews.
