The Department of Political Science is hosting new annual special seminar on international affairs on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in McCormick Lounge, in Coffey Hall on Revolutionary Diplomats- Impacts of the Arab Spring on the Formulation and Implementation of North African Foreign Policies. There will be two panels, and we hope that you can attend one of them, depending on your specific interests:

3:00-5:00 pm--Panel #1: Evolving Role of State Actors on the Formulation and Implementation of North African Foreign Policies during the Arab Spring (including presentations on the evolving roles of North African constitutions, militaries, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, National Security Agencies, and Parliaments)

5:30-7:30 pm--Panel #2: Evolving Role of Non-State Actors on the Formulation and Implementation of North African Foreign Policies during the Arab Spring (including presentations on the evolving roles of North African public opinion, Islamic parties, civil society actors, foreign fighters and insurgent groups, and citizens living abroad)

Refreshments will follow after each session. These panels will include prestigious faculty from other universities, including from Tunisia, as well as several of our own distinguished faculty here at Loyola!

The event is co-sponsored by the Political Science Department and the African Studies and African Diaspora, International Studies, and Islamic World Studies Programs.
