LCME ELEMENT 8.7 COMPARABILITY OF EDUCATION/ASSESSMENT
You've got to be kidding me!
The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME®) accredits medical education programs in what is considered a voluntary, peer-review process that attests to their educational quality and serves the interests of the general public and those medical students. How a school fulfills those expectations could lead to nterpretation of standards through google based searches for precedent or by clarity that develops when educational research is integrated into that interpretation and the possibility to establish new precedents. This is our example of one of 93 LCME standards where we are attempting to integrate scholarly investigation to better address an accreditation standard rather than viewing it as an administrative task.
