    When he was 20 years old, Omar Yamini was incarcerated for 15 years. Upon his release he wrote a book, What's Wrong With You! (What You, Your Children, and Our Students Need To Know About My 15 Year Imprisonment From Age 20 to 35). He also created both a non-profit and a for-profit to help teach others the lessons he learned the hard way and to prevent young people from becoming incarcerated. He created a *Comprehending Consequences* curriculum and has been working with schools, juvenile justice professionals and others in Illinois and around the country. He sets up a jail cell for his presentations to help the audience visualize how he spent 15 years. He is a powerful public speaker, and his life experience and work to prevent youth incarceration has been featured in the media.
