One of the strategies that undocumented students have employed to *earn* citizenship is to academically achieve. In this talk about her research and newly published book entitled The Struggles of Identity, Education, and Agency in the Lives of Undocumented Students: The Burden of Hyperdocumentation, Dra. Aurora Chang shares lessons she learned on her journey/transition from a once undocumented immigrant from Guatemala to a hyperdocumented academic in the U.S.

This event is open to Loyola and Chicago community members engaged in socially just work that widens access for undocumented students to reach their full potential. Light refreshments will be served. Free giveaways of Dra. Chang's book too! Co-sponsored by Loyola School of Education and Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs.
