    Loyola University Chicago School of Law and the Family Action Network are hosting Richard Rothstein, author of *The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America* for a discussion on the how segregation in America is the byproduct of explicit government policies at the local, state, and federal levels. Rothstein is a research associate at the Economic Policy Institute, a Fellow at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and a former columnist for the New York Times.

    *The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America* was selected as Publisher's Weekly Top 10 Best Books of 2017. The book was also designated as one of ten finalists on the National Book Awards' long list for the best nonfiction book of 2017.
