Students are nominated by faculty members for their outstanding contributions in the classroom, through student organization involvement, internship, and professional experience as evidenced by a commitment to the under-served. The SOC honors committee evaluates these applicants based on how students' experiences have worked towards social justice. We will announce the winners of the Outstanding Student award for each of our majors of advertising and public relations, communication studies, film and digital media, and journalism, as well as outstanding graduate student in digital storytelling.
