April Browning has served as the Managing Director of the Department of Theatre for the past eight seasons and has produced and managed over 80 productions and special events. Within the Theatre Division she teaches Theatre Operations, Theatre Practicum, Mentors Stage management and Theatre management students and developed the inaugural London Theatre Experience study abroad program.

Ms. Browning's primary responsibilities in the new Department of Fine and Performing Arts include coordinating the production program for theatre and overseeing all of the production operations, staff and facilities.While in the Department of Theatre at Loyola, she has designed props, sound and puppets, and directed.

She has worked professionally directing, stage managing or designing for such companies as Stage Left Theatre, New Tuners, Blue Man Group, Chicago Dramatists, Footsteps, Revel's Chicago, Women's Theatre Alliance, The Royal George Theatre, and her own company, SpeakEasy Productions, to name a few.
