The Black Alumni Board would like to introduce the second installment of their 3-part Black Light Speaker Series: Diversity and Inclusion: Eradicating Racism Through Theater Arts featuring Jackie Taylor (BA '74), Founder & CEO of the Black Ensemble Theater and Cultural Center.

Jackie will walk us through her illustrious career, from her modest beginnings in the Cabrini Green housing project to a phenomenal acting career, where she performed in featured roles in several major films alongside such greats as Sidney Poitier, Laurence Fishburne, Vanessa Williams, Bill Dukes, Queen Latifah, Glynn Thurman and Lawrence Hilton Jacobs. Jackie has written and produced more than 100 plays and original productions. She has developed educational outreach programs that have changed the lives of its participants. On November 18, 2011, Jackie opened the 20-million-dollar Black Ensemble Theater and Cultural Center.
