    Housing, Race, Covid-19 and Chicago¿s Looming Eviction Crisis with Dennericka Brooks and Jacklyn Zarack Koriath.

    This semester¿s Coffee Talk series begins with a presentation on the intersection of housing, race and child and family well-being, with a special focus on the impact of Covid on housing in Chicago. The program features two Loyola law school graduates who are part of the Housing Practice Group at Legal Aid Chicago. Director Dennericka Brooks¿s works to ensure that children and families have access to safe, affordable housing free from discrimination. She also teaches trial advocacy at Loyola and serves as a mock trial coach. Jacklyn Zarack Koriath is a supervisory attorney in the Housing Practice Group. After graduating from Loyola, she clerked on the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and worked as a public interest attorney in Washington, DC. The focus of her work is on violence-related housing issues, including domestic violence.
