    Do we have a right to a clean and healthy information environment? We welcome Dr. Philip N. Howard for a discussion of approaches to counter disinformation online. Dr. Howard will review some of the latest evidence of how organized, large-scale abuses of media and technology are threatening our health, safety, and rights. Dr. Howard will evaluate some of the contemporary proposals for addressing these trends, and appraise the prospects for an Intergovernmental Panel on the Information Environment to tackle these challenges in a globally coordinated manner.

    Dr. Howard is a Fellow at Harvard University¿s Kennedy School and Director of Oxford University¿s Programme on Democracy and Technology.
