Journey with our distinguished panel back to 1981 to view the early days of the AIDS crisis from those who experienced it as caregivers, activist/advocates, and as authors when this disease appears as a medical mystery and its course impacts social, political and cultural change.
Panelists: Rebecca Makkai, author of The Great Believers, MD; MK Czerwiec, author of Taking Turns: Stories from HIV/AIDS Care Unit 371, and Paul O'Keefe, MD, infectious diseases specialist and HIV and AIDS researcher.
