Join us for an interview and audience Q&A with Vice President of the Minneapolis City Council, Andrea Jenkins. In addition to her civic leadership role, Councilwoman Jenkins is also a poet, artist and activist. In 2017, Jenkins made history as the first Trans, Black woman to be elected to U.S. office. She will be interviewed about her life's work by Director of Loyola Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs, Shay Collins. Following their conversation, Collins will take audience questions for Jenkins on the topic of civic engagement, social justice and leadership.
