Black History Education in Chicago: Past, Present, and Future. Chicago has a rich history of Black history education that we can draw on in the present and build new futures. Join Michael Hines, author of A Worthy Piece of Work about the introduction of the first Black history curriculum in Chicago Public Schools, and other education professional leaders for a timely discussion. Together, they will look at where Black history education has been, where it is today, and where it must go for better futures.
