Loyola Stands Against Gun Violence invites you to our fifth Community Conversation: Domestic Violence and the Role of Firearms. This event will discuss the components of domestic violence, the intersection between domestic violence and firearm violence, and what you can do if you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence. The discussion will first be lead by a community educator from Sarah's Inn, a Chicago-based domestic violence support agency. Then, the event will conclude with a conversation lead by an OBGYN from Northwestern University who lectures nationally on the intersection of firearm and gender-based violence. This event aims to educate and empower Chicagoland community members to recognize signs of abuse and find support.
