    Imagine a safe, inviting, and vivacious holiday atmosphere for shopping and entertainment on Chicago¿s North Sheridan Road in the Rogers Park neighborhood; driving the local economy and tourism. Loyola University Chicago is bringing a one-of-a-kind holiday event to the neighborhood that will showcase the community¿s strengths and highlight the unique fabric of the neighborhood through a positive brand image for the media, businesses, residents, and visitors. Polar Palooza will provide enhanced exposure for 25+ local artisans and benefit corporations as a holiday shopping alternative. Further, this event encourages community building in which thousands of college students, families, and visitors can share in holiday festivities and build neighborhood pride. By featuring local musicians, artists, and vendors, Polar Palooza becomes an alternative to larger citywide holiday events such as Navy Pier¿s Winter Wonderfest, Lincoln Park Zoo¿s ZooLights, and Daley Plaza¿s Christkindle Market, while supporting the local economic and artistic vibrancy of our Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods.
