    The Faculty Convocation, now in its tenth year, is an annual event that celebrates the official opening of the school year and welcomes new faculty members to Loyola. It also recognizes recent faculty promotions and tenure, faculty who have received awards, pays tribute to those who have retired or passed away, and sets the academic agenda for the University.
