Exploring racial disparities in access to services for babies and toddlers.

We believe helping all children receive a strong start in life will benefit us all. But 1 in 5 babies are born into poverty in Illinois, and face obstacles to healthy development. How can we can ensure every baby born in Illinois has the opportunity to thrive? Please join the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law; early childhood advocates; experts in housing, health and employment; and community leaders on October 18 for an extended conversation to share our progress, understand new data on poverty and racial disparities, and build upon our collective work. Please come and share your unique perspective. Together, we can fight for a fair chance from birth for every child.

    Keynote Speaker:
Olivia Golden, Executive Director of the Center for Law and Social Policy
Featuring Dr. Aisha Ray, Professor Emeritus, Erikson Institute. Additional speakers and panelists to be announced.

Complimentary box lunch will be provided by the Shriver Center.
There is no cost to attend this convening, but space is limited.
