The design, creation, and implementation of organic molecules drives modern advances in medicine, pharmaceuticals and materials science. The greater Chicago area is home to academic and industrial leaders in Organic Chemistry. The mission of the Chicago Organic Symposium (COS) is to bring together these leaders for a one-day symposium to disseminate high impact research results. Each edition of COS touts an outstanding lineup of speakers from the local Chicago area and an external keynote speaker. All levels of Organic chemists (research scientists, faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students) contribute to the event through stimulating discussion and a poster session. With this year¿s lineup of presenters, we anticipate that the 7th Chicago Organic Symposium will continue the tradition of inspiring lectures. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Loyola in October for the COS VII.
