    Professor Nancy Caciola (UC San Diego) will present her research on the surprising activities of the dearly departed in the Middle Ages. Prof.Caciola is author of *Discerning Spirits: Divine and Demonic Possession in the Middle Ages*. The presentation is part of the lecture series *The Supernatural in the Middle Ages*.
