    As adults, work preoccupies our lives. We will not sleep as much, spend as much time with our family and friends, eat as much, enjoy life through recreation, and rest as much as we will work! And yet 90% of today's workforce reports that they endure rather than enjoy their work. This talk will examine why we need good work in our lives; work that offers us both money as well as meaning.


    Al Gini is a Professor of Business Ethics in the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago. He is the co-founder and long-time Associate Editor of Business Ethics Quarterly, the journal of the Society for Business Ethics. For over twenty-seven years he was the Resident Philosopher on National Public Radio¿s Chicago affiliate, WBEZ-FM, and can currently be heard on WGN/Tribune Radio. He also regularly lectures to community and professional organizations on cultural issues, business and ethics.
