*I Was a Stranger: Student Stories of Religious Hospitality.* Student representatives from Loyola's major religious communities will share experiences in which they were welcomed into their own communities through initiation rites, conversion experiences, and times of support in the midst of the everyday trials and challenges that are part of an authentic religious life. After these presentations, representatives will be available to discuss their respective traditions in more detail during a time of casual conversation and refreshments.

This event will start the week filled with practices that enact religious welcome. Each faith community will sponsor an actual religious practice of hospitality and will open its doors to share the living ritual and experience.

Event co-sponsors: The Hank Center for the Catholic Intellectual Heritage, Campus Ministry and the Theology Department at Loyola.
