    Greetings!

I would like to invite you to participate in a musical experiment involving Terry Riley's *In C* (1964) arranged for *laptop ensemble.*

This event is taking place on Wednesday December 13 from 10 a.m. - noon in the Skowronski Music Hall (Mundelein Center, 2nd floor, Lake Shore Campus). To participate, all that is required is a laptop (Mac/Win) and your time. You can download our *In C* performance app from http://lute.luc.edu/event/2017/12/06/informal-reading.html. If you can't stay the whole time, or you need to arrive late, that's OK.

I am inviting thoughtful individuals that would be willing to devote roughly an hour and a half to a performance reading and discussion of this work as we have developed it. I am very interested in your perspectives from music, computer science, and related arts backgrounds. Anyone is welcome, regardless of discipline or musical/technical training. We would love to hear your feedback and ideas for where this project might lead in the future!

This project has been a collaboration between Girffin Moe and myself, along with students from COMP/MUSC 122 (FA 2016) under the guise of LUTE (the Loyola University Technology Ensemble). Griffin's excellent description of the project in its first performance incarnation can be found here: http://lute.luc.edu/jekyll/update/2016/12/21/fall-2016-performance.html. For anyone that is interested or needs an interesting and fun elective, there are seats available for COMP 122 in the spring 2018 semester!

I hope to see you there. RSVP is not necessary, but if you do, I can make sure that you get any updates as we get closer to the event. You can also connect with us (LUTE) on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LoyolaUniversityTechnologyEnsemble/

Feel free to share this with anyone you think might be interested. Thanks!
