Event 2: Live From Loyola
George Saunders Radio Hour
An evening with MacArthur Genius and the Man Booker Prize-winning author, George Saunders. Raised Catholic in Chicago but now also a practicing Tibetan Buddhist, the author has a decidedly individual take on spirituality¿ that informs his fiction. Unsettling, insightful, and hilarious, Saunders¿s stories not only entertain and delight, but also ¿prepare us for tenderness.¿ Please join us for a celebration of Saunders¿s novel Lincoln in the Bardo¿and an evening of live readings, discussion, and surprises that will no doubt please the gathered crowd.
