    Join the Institute of Pastoral Studies for an evening with John Neafsey, Psy.D., author of the book, A Sacred Voice is Calling: Personal Vocation and Social Conscience. John will share some thoughts and facilitate a discussion on vocational discernment and social responsibility. John is a clinical psychologist in private practice and a staff member at the Heartland Alliance Marjorie Kovler Center, a treatment program for immigrant survivors of torture in Rogers Park, where he supervises graduate student trainees in the advanced psychotherapy practicum. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the doctoral clinical psychology program at Roosevelt University, where he teaches in the area of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
