    To understand the present, we must understand the past.
    Over the course of the year, seven internationally-known speakers from various disciplines will present their research on aspects of medieval environmental issues and how they illuminate the present. Dr. Monica Green, Professor of History at Arizona State University, is a specialist in the history of medicine and science, global history of health, women and gender studies.
