Equitable Education In the State of Illinois Virtual Fireside Chat
Join Dr. Carmen Ayala, Illinois' State Superintendent of Education (ISBE), and Dr. Malik S. Henfield, Founding Dean of the Institute for Racial Justice (IRJ) at Loyola University Chicago, in a discussion of Illinois' efforts to improve outcomes for all students across the state. Dr. Ayala and Dr. Henfield will share details on their partnership centered on preparing the state for the Equity Journey Continuum (EJC), a data-informed informational tool designed to help districts view their data through the lens of equity. They will also share their views on the importance of centering equity in PreK-12 education and the impact on students and families across the state.
