Join the Loyola Stands Against Gun Violence committee to learn about an innovative and effective tool that you can use to prevent gun violence in your community. Extreme Risk laws, also know as *Red Flag* laws provide family members or law enforcement with options to intervene when someone is showing concerning signs that they are at risk of harming themselves or someone else with a firearm. This conversation will provide an overview of these laws, evidence of their effectiveness, and educate attendees on how to request an extreme risk order in Illinois. This community conversation will be facilitated by Everytown for Gun Safety's *One Thing You Can Do* public awareness campaign, a grassroots movement fighting for public safety measures protecting people from gun violence.

Please RSVP by February 2nd at 7pm. You are welcome to register after that date, however, please be aware that space is limited. Contact Zach Wilder (zwilder@luc.edu) or Lucia Garcia (lucgarcia@luc.edu) with questions.
