    The Uranium Film Festival and Kat Kramer present, STANLEY KRAMER's 1959 masterpiece: *ON THE BEACH* starring Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire, and Anthony Perkins. *After a global nuclear war, the residents of Australia must come to terms with the fact that all life will be destroyed in a matter of months.* The screening is supported by NEIS and Loyola's Film and Digital Media department. Doors open at 6 PM at the Daman Theater (Damen Student Center, 6511 N. Sheridan Road). A discussion of environmental issues and the risks of nuclear war will follow the presentation. Preceded by *Devil's Work*, a short film directed by Film and Digital Media Faculty member Miguel Silveira. Open to the public.
