Visit Lincoln Park Conservancy whose mission is to preserve and enhance Lincoln Park inspiring beauty for current and future generations. Lincoln Park Conservancy works to enhance Chicago¿s largest park through volunteer power, fundraising and park improvements. Through its master agreement with the Chicago Park District, the Conservancy manages treasured Park sites including the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool,¿Abraham Lincoln Monument and Gardens,¿Lincoln Park Conservatory¿and North Pond Nature Sanctuary, in addition to general stewardship¿activities across¿Lincoln Park¿s 1,200 acres. You will have the opportunity to take a tour of the Lincoln Park Conservancy located at 2391 N Stockton Dr, Chicago, IL 60614. Additionally, you will take a walking tour of the park's natural, historic, and cultural elements led by volunteer docents. After your tour, you will meet and network with the Lincoln Park Conservancy staff via a small group and panel to learn about how they navigated their career journey. Please note that this tour will consist of 45 minutes of walking and standing. There is limited space for the visit, interested students are encourage to RSVP early. Registration will close once capacity is reached. Transportation will not be provided, but you can access Lincoln Park Conservancy via the red line train stop to Clark/Division then take the 156 Belmont/Halsted bus to Stockton & Fullerton or Bus 151 Union Station to stop Stockton & Fullerton. Make sure that you bring your Loyola ID along with another form of valid ID with you.
WHO SHOULD RSVP: Open to all current students in various majors who enjoy nature and students who are looking to gain knowledge about various careers in science, environmental science, and biological science.
